Most chinese manhua or webtoons are based off the lightnovels. Some do a good job while some others just do subpar panelling and drawing. The stories are usually in the 300 chapters range, but for manhua they have to downsize it so alot of the details get lost. Also chinese lightnovels have this recurrent theme and are usually about the yandere ML and white lotus mary Sue's.
