(This may seem weird to some, so I'm sorry and I don't mean any harm) the sexual dynamic that i mostly (or i most often see) is a stone top and a pillow princess (i don't mean to offend anyone, i just don't know a better term to use). I know they exist and I acknowledge it, but it's just that it's the only dynamic I have ever read. So now, I just wanna ask if y'all have read GL manhwas that have diff dynamic (?), more like couples who does switch and such (and also, I don't understand why authors don't include scissoring despite it being hot).

They’re basically projecting patriarchal standards of heterosexual relationships ( one has to be the man and the other is the woman). This also happens in BL where the top is manly and strong while the bottom is feminine and weak. There are other tropes that defy this stereotype

As someone who's mostly into BL (which often also have some problems with this unilateral dynamic, but that's another story) and hasn't read many GLs with smut (most of those I read were shoujo ai) I also noticed that dynamic in basically all of them! I'm quite confused by the fact that often there is a 'top' that pleasures the 'bottom' of the relationship, but gets basically NOTHING in return, like, I even saw them not take their clothes off at all. All I can think of is, is that even fair?? It can't be like that in irl wlw relationships, come on.
I'd also like some recomendations about something with a more 'equal' dynamic, I'm still exploring the genre and I'm curious
I actually have the same thoughts as you when I first read a GL manhwa and saw the 'top' fully clothed throughout the bed scene, but I was told that stone tops do exist—they are someone who primarily takes the role of a top or initiator in sexual activity, but with strong boundaries around receiving or being touched. I understood and was thankful for being taught about things I still didn't know about. But as I explore the genre, i have only seen the same dynamic, and I feel like authors should like explore and see that there's a lot more to wlw relationship than what most gl manhwas portrays.
