im almost halfway through and i feel so weird cuz ..... why is the prosecutor acting like that at his big age ... literally no hesitation whatsoever in having sex with a minor he took in that just turned 18. like, not even contemplation ? it felt to me that he had that motive from the start, but hey, i haven't finished reading so maybe, hopefully, there is an explanation or a backstory.
