I feel like there's more to his personality than just being "workaholic". maybe he's frustrated because his family doesn't support his work so wants to prove himself to them and besides, making money as a writer can be really HARD.
Tbh I don't hate the emperor and I understand that he wants love and not just a companion but he didn't even try to make their relationship well with navier. he just assumed she's too prideful to love, and now he's thinking he found that love in Rashta. tho, the truth is Rashta doesn't even love him. everything about her are lies and empress loved him but never showed it when he stepped over her feelings thinking she probably doesn't care. I hope the emperor realizes his mistakes at the end tho, especially the part that navier did love him and he was the one who threw it away

This feels more like a fantasy ending. I don't mind the idea of Yato winning her, but this ending literally doesn't make anyone happy. She had to be outcasted because of people's superstitions, but were they really superstitions when yato was sort of indirectly cause of that? The husband, despite flawed, is totally in love with her, and she herself is so crazy about him up till a certain point, and then suddenly she gone with yato. Feels like a self sacrifice to me, she accepted the role world had given her and vanished with the one person who can share her pain. The fact that it's her father’s body makes things so much worse that you can't even hope she finds new love in him. Yeah... this is a tragedy ending, for all of them, even yato. For he didn’t become human and can't really share with her a life a normal human can..despite being close to her.
Thing is Soru is a celestial being who want supposed to be there and the only solution they had was having her die so she could ascend but nobody is telling her this. Even when the characters understand she’s otherworldly they do nothing, don’t even protect her and when she faces them they don’t say nothing cu it’s true and in this aspect it’s very real to human nature. Yato wouldn’t have been able to protect her from let’s say Nagi or other demons if he had become a human and Soru would’ve been in constant danger cuz even when she has power her nature is of a saint so she is sacrificial. I love the husband but he whines and isn’t even searching for her he’s only mopping when he knows the demon Yato took hee
I agree with this perspective this is why I feel she needed some character development and Husband is redeemable because he truly cares for her and would have protected her at all costs. I dont know it just irks me bec it feels like an ending where the bad guys win. The true bad guys being the village ppl with backwards mentality and that annoying butler/helper of the husband who was the reason why he took so many wrong steps regarding her. I feel like he at least had to pay...instead only the hsuband and the fl suffered...
