I was so happy i get to read this manga!!!! Although i'm bothered by that Oji-san whom he first encountered with, he even recorded him. I'm so mad. But i'm so happy for them!!! I was so inspired and my friends like this as well ヾ(☆▽☆)

Haha depends on which side you are looking from. I guess generally speaking it doesnt count as a happy ending but i did enjoy the story nontheless^^ just read the first ten or so chapters and see if its your cup of tea or not^^

I believe Gene is alive. He probably just ran away. I do have faith in this story and the author, i had a feeling that there will be a surprise by the end of it.
Knowing that this story set in the 1970's and there's an issue about homophobia. They probably just had a misunderstanding or maybe broke up(?) that causes gene to run away. We all know how there story started anyway, Gene running away from his home to pursue a diff life. Maybe something happened and he left. Besides i don't sense any death or sad ending in this story (idk, perhaps i just want to give myself hope also).
I hope he comes back. Idc if they dont end up together, i just want to know he's alive.
When Danny cried, i lost it. His brother left him and the person (Theo) whom he thought will stay by his side, left. I don't feel anything from him and chloe at all, i feel like he was just following what he think is right and married her for the sake of their beliefs.
