To be fair the author did a good job with the backstory of how both characters were in the right. He was originally in the fantasy world kidnapped to Korea and thinks everyone in Korea (including his wife working for the government that kidnapped him) is complicit. He doesn’t trust her and never opens up thinking she’s a psyop. She is genuine and knows nothing about his circumstances and is miserable trapped in a neglectful marriage. Eventually he reveals the truth in the next life and she takes some time letting go of his neglect and accepting the government as the villain. They then team up to stop the rival girl who reps the government.
