for a story that centers around the topic of rape, it does a really shitty job of showing the severity of it.
Really? I feel like we definitely see it. Rix' psyche is a mess. Nuah feels responsible but he's not human and has trouble understanding the complexity of Rix' trauma. The behavior and thoughts Rix has are full of shame and self loathing. He clearly said he dislikes sex, he may even be ace... but it could also be the lack of agency. He's struggling with the fact that he does like Nuah and does enjoy sex physically but then he hates himself for feeling that way. I think there's a lot to it that the story does show. I really want to know what happens once the curse is lifted.
bruh i just want one story without the main couple consisting of a stockholm syndrome uke and a rapey seme. like i’m sorry but i can’t get into their relationship at all bc if the main character hadn’t gone into the showers at prison that day, the dark skin guy would’ve just assaulted a random different dude. i’m so tired of these rapey tropes in stories :/
