Societal, or political pressure as mc said. I assume because of the lack of knowledge of the parrallel world, the Holy Maiden is seen more as a gift from God than someone with their own autonomy. They expect her to do as a Holy Maiden should, cause why wouldn't she? She was meant for us, no? Why would she want to leave, she's literally our Holy Maiden??? It's even this mindset and pressure that pushes her away the most. It's weird but thats what this society was built with.
Politically, what country wouldn't want to keep an important figure as what they literally see as a gift from god. Having children also anchors her to this world and too the kingdom.
Definitely! Especially given her age. I love her character and I hope she gets to go back home! If the mc hadn’t came with her then she probably wouldn’t have realized how horrible her situation is until too late.
