Some readers consider Carcel being with other women while Ines was ghosting him ever since they became teenagers, “cheating”. My personal take is being forced into an arranged marriage at 6 years old and not seeing your betrothed for a decade after your life choices were taken away from you, negates the notion of “cheating.”
