because some seem to forget, COSPLAYING/CROSSPLAYING is NOT A CONSENT. I don't know how some people get their audacity to be rude in this kind of events. I remember a similar situation back then, as someone who consistently attend in conventions— my friend who was crossplaying almost got harass3d on his way through the restroom. The good thing is, I follow him all the time (since I'm afraid the little accessories will fall from his costume). I'm just glad that there were people who noticed it and helped us mitigate the situation before it escalated to something bigger.

Also, I like how the author dropped the antagonist early on so it wouldn't feel like we have an unwanted love triangle though sure enough we will get his backstory. But so far, the pacing is just right >< a good amount of slowburn, angst, comedy, action all together in one bowl.
