Monster (Johan/Tenma) meets Lovecraftian/Eldritch horror. Also reminded me of Sweet Pool, what with the cult and the fleshy/parasitic/alien-like creature similarities. Overall nice art and story, even if the latter could've been developed more in depth. I felt the despair, the hopelessness, the dread.
Listen, this is a little short gem. Unexpectedly simple and uncomplicated yet still supremely satisfying. Super sexy, yes,—just look at that art—but also surprisingly wholesome and hilarious, without none of the cruelty and/or toxicity one could expect from the setting and some characters designs alone. The BDSM is soft, teasing, and tender. 100% compatibility. It was an immediate favourite for me. I would love it if it had a second volume and if blondie had his own spin-off too.
