But if Jiwoo got more prep time let say A year bro could totally be wiped out cause Jiwoo did damage him to the point he looked like that and can't even protect himself when he got YEARS of experience and training. Potential wise Jiwoo got more to give though.

Cause for me there's no part where they show or implicitly say that Jiwoo wins?
They rather show that he has the dignity of a true fighter/ranker though (giving his all and no one interfering in a fight)
Like you said in the first 2 sentences. Why inform jiwoo that the other guy won, when he technically did coz jiwoo was unconscious. So its kinda like to the other guy's view, jiwoo won.
Jiwoo broke his core. A broken core means he can potentially lose his awakened abilities. It happened to Jiwoo before and nobody can heal a damaged core besides Kartein. He might have knocked Jiwoo unconcious but Jiwoo basically crippled him.
Oh I forgot the core. So He technically win but Jiwoo did far more damage to him than him just rendering Jiwoo unconscious.
