But also, I'd love the angst of Penelope and calisto unfortunately being separated forever after they beat the witch. Kind of like this one anime I watched where the girl dies from a bad bento box and is sent into her favorite anime only to fall in love with the main character and him fall in love with her. (To be specific he fell first and HARD.) But in the end though she goes back to the real world and he stays in his. I think it was called, Zenshu? OK yeah, just looked it up.

Actually there's a lot of perrallels with FL and ML in Zenshu and Penelope with Calisto. I say to yall give it a watch in the meantime while waiting for more Pencilo content.!!

Guys, im not chapter 96. Is there ANY progress with the FL and ML yet? If not im thinking of dropping this because the whole perfume things is just dragging on and on and I came to this story with the hopes of a wholesome romance between a low noble/commoner and emperor duo. I was not ready for a supposed slow burn.

Am I the only one frustrated with this whole "love triangle" thing going on? It feels forced but also not all at the same time and I can't wrap my head around on if I like it or not.

On one hand it makes sense (kind of) since both men naturally fell for her bc of her character as a person, but on the other she's already basically (honestly, not even "basically". She literally does.) rejected both of them and yet they continue to pursue her regardless. It also doesn't help that she continues to go back and forth between them in a ditsy way "not understanding" what she's feeling when clearly its shown she has stronger feelings for the Duke rather than the other man. We also know (from context clues) the ML is the Duke, so this whole conflict feels like a waste of time.

Unless the author makes the men have a mutual understanding and fix the problem by just making them all date each other and be rid of the damn jealousy aspect of it all.(A person can dream.) But obviously thats wishful thinking, anyways. What do yall think abt this?
