Never in my life have I gone from a 5 star read to a 1 star in one chapter. Everything was going relatively well until they shoe-horned in a r@pe scene, destroyed the king's characterization up until that point, and then just rushed the ending. I read it all just to make sure the author wasn't going to actually have Michael end up with Albert only to see I was, in fact, not hallucinating. They ended up together. Or really Albert forced his will in Michael and they're going to continue in this sick song and dance until they die, I guess? And it was so fucking jarring that they had sex during the time Michael was in that child-like state. It was like the author was suddenly switched out for a sadistic, pedo, r@pist all of a sudden with those last chapters. And for what? To ruin that delicious tension and interesting dynamic? Heide (the aide I dunno if I spelled his name correctly) was the better choice romance wise for Michael. I'm so upset. Like genuinely I'm so mad.
Wayyyy too short. Left so many unanswered questions. I mean I've read enough to know what probably happened and guess at what comes after that random ass ending, but it's still annoying for everything to just get wrapped up in the middle of the climax. Tbh it was very weak storytelling after the halfway mark. It doesn't make sense why the higher ups hid that the outsiders weren't human, especially since revealing that would just allow them to go ahead with their war plans. It also doesn't make sense why H-O2 didn't want Helm to reveal that. There was that hinted relationship between H-O2 and the alpha (that could have been fun to explore). We never found out if Coral Reef betrayed Helm, we never saw the inner forest, or figured out why H-O2 let Helm think he wanted to kill him all those years. We also never really found out what happened in those flashback scenes with everyone dead. Did H-O2 like actually kill all of Helm's partners? Basically there were so many guns that didn't go off, so to speak, and it was wild that they were brought up narratively only to never be touched on again or completely thrown out.
it wasn't the author's intention to leave these questions unanswered but manhwa wasn't their main job and they were struggling financially so they had to rush the story and end it at chap 40

I'm a sucker for the characters like the MC who have trauma and are very quiet, try their best to stay out of the way and follow rules. And that the MC can't really help but fall in love because MC is doing his best. Are there other BL manga with dynamics similar to this? I did see someone ask for similar plots but that's not necessarily needed for this. Just a quiet, demure bottom lol.

I hate that the ML had to forgive his parents in the end, I hated that the MC wouldn't let that issue go. His parents ABUSED and NEGLECTED him all his life. You shouldn't have to forgive people like that. And don't start with the "but they're family, you have to forgive family, they're the only family you have." I only have one appendix but I still cut that out of me when it became toxic to my body.
Ml forgave his family cuz they realised their mistakes at last, they realised the way they were biased and neglected their child. They were atlast ashamed of their past acts that they couldn't even make an eye contact w the ml, they know the times they have missed just by lookin at their grandson but u have to understand the society they were living in had shaped up their mind in a discriminated way, the way all ppl behaved in this even the ml. The only sane enough here was mc's mother, mc and the professor who also shaped up his mind after hearing mc's rant abt omegas getting discriminated. Sure the way they behaved will forever will be imprinted on the ml but them apologising and him forgiving was the small and new step towards of the change that might contribute to the betterment of the society rather than making them guilty abt it for their whole life, they can use their remaining time left to contribute for even a small change. Your body can survive even w appendicitis removal cuz it doesn't affect the ongoing body functions much But sure a family or close relationships do

So I don't even know what possessed me to keep reading this. By chapter 10 I knew that fucker was going to be endgame for Jichan. Mido doesn't deserve to be within a 100 yards of Jichan. No matter what happened, Jichan was ALSO A CHILD when they partied. How could you blame a kid for what happened to Mido??? Yeah he made a mistake but that's not enough to forcibly change him into an omega, rape him countless times, physically abuse and torture him, emotionally torture him, or least of all trying to make sure his life is shit. BITCH YOUR LIFE TURNED AROUND, YOU WEREN'T SUFFERING AFTER YOU FOUND EUGENE! SO WHY TF DID YOU STILL WANT REVENGE!? YOU PSYCOPATH! I'm legitimately so appalled by this that I think I'm gunna blacklist this author from my reading list. I mean jokes on me for reading it ig. I hoped to hell and back he'd end up with the other ML just for the semblance of a better partner, but nooooooo. Had to go with the most toxic ML I think I've ever seen. I won't be forgetting this story for a while and you know what, I'm sending the author my therapy bills bc what the actual fuck.
I feel a little cheated. Don't get me wrong, a slow burn is nice and season 1 hit all the right tropes and story beats, but season 2 left something to be desired. For one, why bring up the avian clan that the males can get pregnant if that wasn't going to be included in any meaningful way? Also, we never saw Godo's partner and with how he was so obsessed with Yun, it felt like he wasn't designed with a partner and that was thrown in as an afterthought. Why didn't the avians have a more animalistic form like the serpents (they were just angels at this point)? Why didn't we get to see more of the serpent culture (like we got to know about avian courtship, their wings, the fact they become fatigued with heavy rain, that they don't lose power when a wing is cut off, and that there is a clan where males can hatch eggs, but nothing really about the serpent race)? There was a lot left to be desired with this story, especially because the premise was fairly unique. I'm just slightly disappointed.
ALSO when are we gonna have a bl where the bottom is the more powerful of the two? Like I enjoyed the fact that Yun was an imposing figure and more powerful until Yayul became a dragon! Then he was just like the eight winged avians, which put him above Yun! For once I want a badass uke that stays badass!
Every single chapter makes me so euphoric. This is the onlyanga I click at lightspeed the second it updates. I will never be able to just let the story cook, I have to read it immediately! I think I'm going to be buying the physical copies!
Really upsetting to see an S tier plotline devolve into the amnesia + rape trope. I had a feeling it was coming (and after reading through some of the comments I see people saying this would happen) but honestly I'm so disappointed. For once I thought we'd get a good top that helped the bottom deal with trauma in a healthy, respectful way. Whatever, guess I shouldn't hope for better out of this genre :/
