If you can handle toxic, rapey stuff then maybe it has somewhat okay plot(up until i read)
I dropped it because it wasn't my cup of tea

Codename Anastasia is about Taekjoo, who gets sent to Russia with two huge missions: find “Anastasia,” this mysterious weapon that could change everything, and avoid a dangerous killer named Psikh Bognadov. He ends up working with a partner named Zhenya, but Zhenya turns out to be just as unpredictable and dangerous as Psikh. The whole time, you’re left wondering who Zhenya really is and if Taekjoo can actually pull this mission off.

Honestly, it’s a wild ride. The characters, especially Taekjoo and Zhenya, are intense and complicated, and the spy plot really keeps you hooked. But it’s also dark and has some pretty heavy scenes that might not sit well with everyone, so you kinda have to be ready for that going in.

TL;DR
Codename Anastasia contains grape and violence, so if you aren't into that, I don't recommend it. But if you can tolerate it, I'm pretty sure you'd like it. The plot itself is pretty good and the art style too.

season 1 was pretty decent, however the end of season 1 & (from what I've heard) the majority of s2 will consist of a lot of abuse and rape. the main character is written to be strong but also he's lwk stupid. like he's smart & badass on paper but if u actually think abt it he's a dumbass i forgave him cuz hes hot though. the ml is obv a rapist & all that yk. if u can stomach that then maybe it'll be worth it for u? the concept is a little interesting (its got that whole spu & mafia thing going on) & the art is REALLY gorgeous

Up to you tbh. If you can handle rape and violence then go for it. I haven't read the novel yet. Personally to me I see a lot of potential in the story but from the spoiler the rape and violence will only get worse. Due to the the setting of the plot it is expected to have heavy stuff but I truly believe that the story really has a lot of potential in developing the two main characters feelings without having involved rape but ofc author gonna use rape/sex as a plot device in developing feeling between the two characters which is a bummer but apparently he got better ig.

imma warn you rn, their relationship started developing during the confinement arc. and there's a lot of chasing and hunting happening here. if you're alright with that then do try it ^^
