Ugh, started reading this after seeing a photo of chapter 17 where they're playing with the kids. Turns out the big picture was WAY different than I thought, and not in a good way. The uke (black hair) is a tsundere that gets raped immediately at the beginning by the seme. I just watched a document on how Japan's current legal system has super old laws regarding sexual assault. No means yes there, which is super confusing since for me, a no is a no. For example, if I we're to be raped in Japan, according to the law, I gave consent if I didn't struggle enough to get myself or the rapist hurt. You can look this up online, it's true and for a person like me who grew up in a western country, it's feels super unreal and wrong on so many levels. Unfortunately, it seems to be an ongoing trend in romance manga, that the act of saying "no" for having intimate things done to them means, that instead of it meaning they're refusing the act, they want "it" to be done to them. I've noticed this in many levels in the japanese entertainment, like in anime, manga, live adaptions, etc. Like, is it too much to ask for a realistic sex scene with consent, prepping for the intercourse, showing the aftermath like cleaning the used sex toys, things like that. I get that yaoi is usually just porn, but still. This one seemed like a really promising story, so I was really disappointed when it didn't fulfill my expectations. Could have been a really good story if more effort was put into it.
I DID like the fact that they build a plot around declining birth rates, so it wasn’t all shit (14.6.2025)
