I know all of the characters are suffering but I think the one who suffered most here is geumsun. Imagine he planned to take yoohwi's memories back and even want to sacrifice his existence for it, only to be disappointed that he's completely forgotten by that person. I mean aside from yama, geumsun is the only being here that has memories of past ever since.
Eun on reincarnated as eunjae.
Hoseung reincarnated or related to San
Yoohwi became a reaper.
So that left geumsun to have his memories still intact after all those times. Everyone almost forgot everything.
