The author clearly read Jane Austen and liked what they read. The parallels have been bothering me quite a bit since I started reading. There are obvious variations and alterations to the story to make it unique, but it is so similar that certain plot points keep appearing despite this attempt at making it a different story. It feels a bit stale.
If this were a reincarnation storyline I would have dropped it completely. The ML isn't nearly charming enough for me to be invested in. Helen is very cute but I wish the story was a bit more unique.
Most artists draw their inspiration from somewhere and I am hoping this is the case and not just a cashgrab webtoon with a preestablished storyline/dynamic. I hope I am proven wrong as I continue reading.

this poor woman, i mean, she didn't even get a say in anything. she had no choice but to run. if i was in her position and i could do the same, i would. like why would anyone want to stay with someone who manipulated and then proceeded to hunt them down. the emperor is on my hitlist now, how terrible. he has no redeeming qualities except for his face.
I haven't read this in three years and this is where I catch up? I'm crying.
