Okay I felt a bit sorry for James towards the end. But that still doesn't justify his behavior in the past lives. Because it wasn't one timeline. He got his chances, not once, not twice but thrice. Even in the current timeline when Olivia sent him the letter saying she'll be handling the household affairs, he brushed it off saying "Do not create any more division in the household". Like excuse me sir? If his mother killed her in their previous life, why would he do that even after 3 chances? He had ENOUGH time and YEARS to redeem himself, did he not? Also, they parted ways on good terms in the end but I think she should've at least confronted him about their previous life. Like okay you say you've always loved me, enough to turn back time for me. But after getting the 2nd chance, why did he act so cold towards her in their 2nd life? Also wasn't that marital rape brushed off as if it was nothing? I get it some people can be quiet and reserved but you can still love someone and make it known? Like all the flashbacks, none of his behaviors seemed like he even cared for her. And that's supposed to be the whole point and we're supposed to feel bad about him. But oh lord sadly, I feel no remorse for him. 3 chances and you still mess it up? No love you don't deserve anymore chances. They were married for 20 years in the 2nd timeline, he came back from war 10 years after getting married. So they still lived together for 10 years. 10 years and yet he couldn't make her even feel LIKED, plus I literally hated him when her childbirth flashback was shown. Not expressing your love and mistreating them/seeing them getting mistreated and doing nothing are two WHOLE DIFFERENT things.
Idk if you guys feel bad for him or something but I genuinely found no excuse for his behaviors. No justifications tbh. So idk I still hate him for making her go through HELL
