Ok this is weird to brought up but I just recently watched this documentary of an old scandal that happened in the Kpop industry. I’m not into kpop but the scandal got me curious and all I gotta say, TLDR: Korean society have this toxicity side where they victim blame than actually punishing actual predator and rapists and only giving them 1-5 fcking years?! LIKE EXCUSE ME???
This is what I noticed in this chapter. Like holy fuck this is so messed up. I hate how victims are always forced to submit and not defend their rights and themselves. Because fucking society prefers to let this all die down than actually protecting the citizens. I swear to god if that fcking rapist mf character that I don’t bother memorizing his name doesn’t get punished, I’m going to do the unthinkable. I thought Japan’s lack of mental health and releasing criminals is fucked up but Korean is no different and at the same level of fuckery as Japan.
Yeonwoo deserves a better life. He needs justice and his friends to protect him (because it seems none of them except Junhyuk taking this seriously and I hate it) No this is not him being a damsel in distress. He is a literal traumatized kid who experienced physical, emotional, mental and sexual abuse! Yes, Yeonwoo needs therapy too but how can he when the fucking rapist is out there living a good life and will always haunt Yeonwoo.
