Re reading the first chapters the father never said he was on "the side of love" , he was very serious and even pushed the fact that she had a lot of proposals. Maybe thats why I never trusted him xd the one who said good things was only Satoko, since he is the one that took care of her.
I think this is not going to be easy, Satoko adored him, and seeing his true colors is HARD. I'm glad she still tries to protect Shinpei even in her state of shock.
I'm also sure the childhood friends is there at least, and he is going to help them somehow.
