Nuance is truly dead lol. The way I understand it is that he sees his first love through rose colored glasses, and now the honeymoon phase is stating to fade as reality hits. He can clearly see someone he loves self-destructing, and there’s a sort of helplessness that comes with that b/c you don’t know how to REALLY help. I would think the only thing he can do for atm is just hold her as tight as he can, but he seems to know it won’t really fix anything to just reassure her in that moment. She doesn’t love herself, and he seems green flag enough to know it’s not healthy for her to channel a sense of self and reason to live, into him.

The short story never made sense, and the extension of the plot line is because enough people read and wanted individual endings + a foursome with good art. I’m just confusion how the artist went from Housekeepers Love Affair to this…I started because I was intrigued, and then stayed just to see how this train wreck will wreckth…will be back later for the drama once it ends. I’m less hopeful for this redemption arc than I am with Jinx, and that bar was already in hell lol.
