I absolutely love it I have no idea why everyone is angry about the romance in it I think it’s perfectly reasonable and if you feel like it’s rushed or if he picked the princess randomly then check how in some of their interactions he was in love or at least interested in her but due to his revenge he didn’t fully realize his feelings and after so much time has passed and after everything he has experienced he realized he loved her and want to be with her the story is wonderful I recommend everyone to read it
I’m at chapter 19 and I can’t handle it anymore so does the story have a happy ending or at least a happy moment? Cuz all I’m seeing is trauma

Ending is kinda "bittersweet" and just acceptance. Read a thread of spo and he still ended up w ml. He did attempt suicide, had 2(?) years timeskip, everyone thought he died except ml. He's the only one who kept looking/waiting.
After the ts, ml tried to understand mc BUT he is and will always be a psychopath. So ending is kinda mc just accepting his fate. Also the part that he knows he is also dependent on ml(as we can see here, since childhood he still keeps sticking to ml)
Overall it's a compromise on both sides. Only redeeming point is no more sideboys and it's finally just the two of them
