honestly? i gotta say that even though the chasing arc was so long dante deserved it. it was nice of the autoher (in the novel) to potray how Hyoseop spent several months with Selena, Tina & Teddy, it gave him closure he didnt have at the start. Dante deserved this chasing arc because he literally hid everything IMPORTANT from Hyoseop and made him feel small and potrayed his love as aggressive which scared him away even though in the novel he states that he knew of Hyoseop’s past (briefly, Shin didn’t have ALL the information, but it was still enough). Tbf I wish that Ren was still alive because he played a significant role in Hyoseops life.
personally, mc deserved better. Andante never actually gave him anything straight fordawrd - everything he did was basically behind mc’s back. He makes him feel small by keeping IMPORTANT things away from him. It’s like “yea u dont deserve to knows this even tho you doubt me all the time I’ll just keep you by my side cause i feel like I own you - therefore I can just keep doing stuff behind your back and I’ll fill you in OVER THE INTERNET NEWS”, like please and the “oh yea i can see why he suits the new guide” like bro-

I kinda hate that every other chapter in the novel they mention Ano over our MC especially where Andante says “Oh will i need to hold his body like i did with Ano before i make sure he is dead” im sorry but for me the comparison of two was unecessary in general…

Coda and Ano were lovers, and Ano and Owen were brothers. It's actually a common known thing to most, but because the MC was isolated with no info on the outside world, he didn't know.
I KNEW IT!! i smelled it from hundreds yards away!! but it was frustrating to keep reading how the general public was saying Ano and Owen must be lovers before Ano got left behind in the gate or sumtn bc the last fight broadcast while Hyoseop was waiting without getting any news from Andante, imma bout to lose it! thank you for spoiling me you saved me from so much high blood pressure
