To me, Horror, Gore, Psychological genres of BL are def not for the weak.
And they're so rare becoz they're very Dark. When I read them out of curiosity, I treat as purely Horror/Psychological/Gore etc. & not the type to turn ur switch ON (what i mean by ON as in gooning)
Best example of what's really dividing the ppl is, "killing stalking".
Some ppl treat it to be more on the realm of yaoi, Some treat it more on the realm of Horror/Psycho.

Personally for "killing stalking" I look at the characters like actors. Like I can admit that sangwoo is an attractive character, but I don't think I was looking at it as yoai during my read or for "gooning". Probably because I spent so much time crying lol
Also I agree there are definitely lines that can't be crossed that why when I people say they want to get into psychological books I recommend them "killing stalking" as kind of like a threshold to see how much they can take. Especially because it's one of those stories that has more plot then sex scenes.
BUT for me I think my love for bl would definitely have to the ones where they're related. It's just too weird, even if it's only through marriage. The dialogue just gives me the creeps(〜￣△￣)〜
I see, we have the same mentally as looking at characters as actors, becoz now that i think about it "killing stalking" and other 'weird' over the line stories would have been amazing as a movie.
I also think that becoz i read too many BLs i have become somewhat numb.. well not too much. I can pretty much say that I can a handle things pretty ig.

I agree, I feel like I read way too many bl especially the psychological ones. Which is why I can pretty much handle anything.But as for looking at them as actors, it's just way more fun that way.(づ￣ ³￣)づ It helps you separate the horrible story from the art style. Plus you don't feel weird for wearing merch of tramtizing stories.

I always forget that this is a virus to begin with! Maybe becoz they're were being a lil too casual w being a hybrid, that i forgot they're once full humans too.
