I wonder why is there no equivalent term such as 'fujoshi/fudanshi' for yuri fans?
I hear yuri fans are named stuff like 'hime-danshi' (princess-men) in one comic series; and 'yuri-zuki' (yuri lovers) in Japan.
How comes yuri and yaoi are viewed so differently?? both are a mixture of works that may be good, bad, or just OK depending on author or troupes popularized within the manga.
Why has yuri got a more popular, peaceful reputation amongst anime/manga fans than BL?
I have seen some lovely yuri manga; but have been a bit sad that most are set around high school girls. Whenever I want to see yuri about adult women; I often end up mainly finding such content in Ecchi genre anime TT_TT
Whilst for when I read BL/Yaoi I can read ones about high school AND adult men in equal amounts, which is a relief as i prefer adult romance BL.
(And sadly I didn't like Citrus as the love interest is a really scary girl ┗( T﹏T )┛it's a shame as Yuzu is such a nice mc.)
