I feel like this question has deffo been asked before apologies. But does anyone think they will ever tell someone they read yaoi/yuri manga. None of my friends know and I would die before I tell them but like if I have a partner in the future and say we get married like what am I gonna do? They’re gonna be thinking I’m cheating on my phone when really I’m reading gay sex like…?

    i litreally has daily breakdown with my sister on every bl that just came out of the site, on how buns it is, or how hot this is and yadda yadda, all my irl friends saw my reposts on tiktok abt gay porn and i simply dont give a fuck, never let them judge you babes, life is too short to be embarassed about reading gay porn, its not that srs xx

    I've told people and it depends but my sister was also hiding the fact that she read yaoi/yuri. I caught her reading yuri, lol. I told my friend way back in hs about yaoi, she didn't react much. One day, I also told her about yuri and she suddenly acted like I liked her just like a manga character, lol. Anyways, just read and enjoy, don't think about people. Life is short. It's not a big deal.

    i only tell my otaku friends. well not outrightly tell them but they sorta find out and they're cool with it. otaku friends find it easy to accept. they know i read BL but I never share the plot to them so I'm still kinda alone in this. It's fine. If you want someone to talk to, the community and I are available

basically it was in a school setting and there were these two rival group gangs of high schoolers and they were fighting with eachother. Two boys from opposing gangs fell in love and were keeping it a secret from everyone and then at the end they revealed it because they didn’t want to fight eachother.
