FIRST TIMELINE
so let us get the elephant out of the room. you are all probably wondering who poisoned the princess in the first timeline right?
- well i'm here to tell you that it was mikhail himself who poisoned her.
- he got a hold of the poison from beatrice's mother (the princess, i will make a seperate spoiler topic on her)
- the empress intended to give the poison to max but mikhail beat her to it and ended up using it to poison the princess.
- in reality mikhail NEVER loved the princess, he was only using her to gain power but once he realized she was useless he decided to get rid of her.
- that's one of the reasons why he broke up w juvel but there was also another reason why. bc of her dad.
- regis knew that mikhail was only using juvel to gain power so regis blackmailed him into breaking up w her.
- so yes mikhail kind of had feelings for her but it was mostly to gain power.
- when the princess was poisoned he blamed juvel bc he knew that she would take the blame for him bc she loved him so much.
- after that he would have a knight get her out of the prison and bring her to him while he killed her dad so he could have her all to himself.
- in his mind he would kill everyone so then he could become emperor and have juvel all to himself.

PRESENT TIMELINE/JUVEL'S THIRD LIFE
- as we know she broke up w him this time and that really fucked him up lmao.
- there's two things that the manhwa has cut so i shall explain them here.
- there's a part in the novel before rose's birthday party where he gets really drunk and starts thinking about who juvel is going to have as her partner for the banquet. he thinks that by bringing another woman w him will make her jealous. (it doesn't lmao)
- another thing that the manhwa cut out was after juvel left the party he decided to send her a letter telling her he was sorry but obviously she doesn't reply and that makes him super mad bc it was the first time he had ever said sorry to anyone. so he's like 'fine i'll completely forget about her' which he doesn't HAHA (we know why she didn't reply bc regis was burning all of his letters lol)
- after this incident juvel will be invited to a tea party that rose is hosting, him being the ultra extreme genius that he thinks he is decides to go as well. he's intending to make juvel jealous by flirting w the other ladies there. (again it doesn't work)
- on the day of the tea party she shows up w max. at this point in the story her and max are officially 'fake dating'.
- he sees them together and gets super jealous immediately thinking she was doing this on purpose to rile him up. he even insults max in his head calling him a peasant/commoner who knows nothing.
- after things don't go the way he wanted, he decides to confront max. asking him who he was and why was he w juvel. all max says is that he's juvel's lover and that REALLY pisses mikhail off to the point where he holds his sword against maxs' neck. obviously max isn't phased.
- this is all happening after the tea party is over btw. so when juvel comes out and sees mikhail holding a sword against max's neck she shouts at mikhail, his full name btw, and tells him to lower his sword. that really shocks mikhail bc she's never called his full name like that.
- he tries calling her by her name but she corrects him by telling him to call her 'princess floyen'
- she ignores him and goes straight to max and that makes mikhail even more mad. he ends up grabbing her by her wrist saying 'we need to talk' but before he can drag her away max also catches his wrist.
- yadayada he let's go and mikhail's like 'i thought you loved me?! why would i ignore you ignoring me' and she's like 'i did love you but not anymore' then she walks away but not before she says 'don't talk to me next time bc i don't want to get involved w you again' QUEEN SHIT
