Tbh I think their death was the only solution unfortunately. Etienne being an omega, and specifically a dominant one, is literally a national secret and given he’s a candidate for the throne and the ongoing underground drug ring for omegas in general, there was literally no other solution that would keep the lid on that. money only goes so far; all it takes is for someone to make you an even better offer for these guys to rat out etienne. Also this is RISHAR seeing his baby getting drugged and slapped like no way was he going to calmly talk things out LMAO
But yeah 100% creating more drama I’m guessing this will be followed with ppl accusing rishar of being a heartless killer that was never for the people lol
They were about to drug the prince, let him be raped and wanted to sell him off, plus they did it to many other Omega as well. They deserved to die and it's not that the prince wanted to safe them, he just asked Rishar to stop, because of one of the traumas he has because of that bitch who calls herself his mother
Im not saying they didn’t deserve to die im just saying there are other ways like killing them not in front of the price or abandoning them tied up in the woods and the biggest thing that confuses me about this story is why is being an omega a secret. Like it’s the queens secret. If the ml and mc mated and came out as a couple and released that the queen used the mc and abused him for her own power like wouldn’t that solve the problems like they could end up together queen arrested both on the throne
I’m too lazy to flip back to the beginning for a more detailed explanation, but basically the problem with etienne being an omega is the same hierarchy problem in all omegaverse stories (“alpha = more powerful” ideology). him being an omega essentially makes him weak TO alphas and his own heats, which will always be a liability. The queen’s situation was different bc she’s genuinely just a fucked up person who was skilled enough to have a handle on her dominant pheromones to take advantage of others and (correct if I’m wrong) her marriage to the king was arranged from the get go
The reason they can’t just come out as a couple is bc, since birth and until now, rishar and etienne are being backed by two vastly different political parties. If they just randomly got together, both of them would still be hated by their opposing teams AND they themselves would most likely be considered a traitor by their own party (house herace would NOT be happy with etienne)
It’s very confusing to keep up with the political aspect of the story with the story being ongoing hope this helps!

Though i love this one i do hope it ends soon the more the expand on different things in teh government the more confused i get and i lose my mind if this becomes something where the mc has to choose between love interest because him being mad at rishar and the one guy not being as annoying was before makes me think there might be some controversy
