Ok, I have to admit when I started reading I hated the first time they met and got together and I was dreading to see something toxic develop, but I'm so glad I was wrong! They are so cute together! I love how both leads bring out the best in each other: Kang genuinely wants to see Ahn succeed and is supportive and Ahn brings out Kang's playful and passionate side. I'm also really enjoying the development of the secretary, I always look forward to see her appear. Like everyone else, I also want to see her happy. I hope she ends up with Mina!
The artwork is amazing and I could easily read 100+ chapters instead of only 7! I liked the main characters (also the dialogues with the butler were so cute!) and the story feels fresh. I was looking forward to see it develop more, as well as the relationship, so I'm subscribing this in case we get more chapters in the future.
The downside is that the first time the couple has sex, it follows the common rape trope, in which the sexy seme vampire simply does as he likes while the hunky human is crying and trying to stop him. It's 2021 already... I wish rape wasn't romanticized as much in these stories because itreally isn't sexy and quite a turn off. If not for that, I'd rate it a solid 10.
No, but listen: I came here without any expectations. I just wanted to find a good BL with plenty of smut and fluffy moments, but what I got instead was a freaking masterpiece! (also plenty of smut and fluff)
The writing is consistently great throughout the chapters, the characters are all interesting, there are plenty of poignant scenes but also lots and lots of humor. It's the first time I burst laughing out loud while reading Manhwa because this artist comedic timing is just on point. They can make you cry and laugh very easily, they're just that good. Also, if you are unsure about the art at first, please don't overthink it and just go with it. Within a few chapters, you'll start to really love it and see how beautiful every chapter really is...
I can't recommend this enough, my only regret is I didn't read it sooner. If you are unsure, please do yourself a favor and read it!
P.s. if anyone knows other manhwas as good as this one, please recommend me some. I'll be having a hard time going back to what I've been reading so far... :(
I'm not even finished yet, but just needed to say I'm loving this story so much! I feel warm and fuzzy inside, it's such a serotonin boost I get whenever I read each of these chapters. The characters are well developed and likable and you can see the relationship between the male leads progressing at a natural rhythm. No toxic stuff, no cheesy drama, just pure fluff!
I really tried to like this because the artwork is beautiful, but unfortunately the story sucks. All these characters are simply awful and toxic: they all start off cruel, deceitful, immoral, corrupt and without an ounce of decency. They're all also incredibly selfish. The Chaebol Prince is supposed to be likeable, but I think aside being dumb and beautiful - not his fault, it was the accident - there's really nothing much going on that makes me want to root for him. I tried, I really did. I read up to chapter 24, but I'm giving up now. If you're reading comments and hoping to see if this has wholesome content or is worth your time, please don't waste it like I did. It has plenty of smut, yes, but the lousy story line and the toxicity in everyone makes it trashy and you deserve better!
