I believe they are childhood friends but they could just be friends later in life. They are neighbors and they go to each other’s appartements a lot. Some how they start to fool around? And/or one over hears the other one master bating to him (unrequited love?) anyway one works at a restaurant and suddenly moves away to the USA
to open a restaurant leaving the other one finding the apartment empty. They eventually get together though.
