i do believe the characters are realistic. i’m surprised a lot of readers found uke annoying and toxic. for me, i relate to him. i know how it feels to over-analyze everything when you’re in a situation where you’re getting to know a person you really like, but you think the person is out of your league or you’re too inferior compared to them. despite liking them so much, you put on a distance because you don’t want to appear as the desperate one in the relationship, because admit it or not, you want to keep your pride as much as possible. one small happening where you think the other person doesn’t really like you, you put yourself away just to save face. it’s pretty hard coz everytime you’re together with them, you feel happy but at the same time, you feel inferior.
and i also understand the seme. in fact, i very much appreciated him. he made me feel assured since i relate to uke so much, and despite uke’s tendecy, he still loves the uke deeply!
i like this story very much. i hope the readers would understand where uke is coming from. at least in the end, he shows his willingness to change and actually has improvement!
