dude they're all just children :( this is one of those upsettingly well-done tragedies with a very bittersweet ending, but it's done SO well bc what we though was the worst, didn't happen (but that's just bc we didn't know any other obvious endings until then). and MC being a good person has such a massive impact on the other characters' actions and the ending, too.
