some of those changes from version 1 and 2 were wild. in the chapter the leads first meet why have the guy walk in on him raping a man rather than just beating him? and then keep in the fact that he proceeds to murder that man as he is currently inside him? that scene was vile.
I will be the first to admit that my morality in romance is pretty skewed, but I draw the line at what is explicitly, textually rape. and on a romantic level, who the fuck would want to kiss and be fingered by a guy who literally just murdered the last man he raped? it was not cute. it was not necessary.
So seme is a magical creature that doesn't have a concept of "monogamy", which is used to justify why he continued to sleep with other people in the first life. Yet the moment someone says "what if uke slept with someone else", he flips his shit. So he DOES have a concept of cheating. But apparently in his mind, only Jins are allowed to cheat? And that's skipping over the fact that he decapitated the son of his concubine because he believed the child wasn't biologically his. I kept waiting (as I always do with ambiguous situations in romances) for the book to confirm that the seme didn't cheat. But it turned out he did, murdered a child that could have been his, and ended up with a HEA because "dolt he didn't know any better". ????
