Ok ok ok this might sound foolish but it seems that the past life of the MC was more difficult due to the actions of his former “family” and his lovers brother (or idk who assaulted him) and less directly a result of the ML. I really feared that the ML graped the MC and tortures him mentally. That idiot is still unnecessary distant, formal and kinda cold, probably just autistic or sum, which doesn’t really help the MC but I am relieved he isn’t total trash like the MC’s father or “brother”
