interesting how moral standards for bl have changed over time. this is…quite bad, but i can see it being beloved in the past. i don’t think people tended to voice their criticisms nearly as often before.
I think it's more so due to the fact that fans would literally eat anything up - the standards were low because this is all we had so we would go for crumbs
looking for a BL featuring mind games between victim (uke) and perpetrator (seme), whether it’s over blackmail or confinement or whatnot.
examples that come to mind are “the warehouse”, “unfather”, “moritat”. i really liked the vibe of a competent and prideful MC trying to gain back the upper hand that they’re used to having
are there any active lists for recently completed BL? this site isn’t great with the ongoing/completed tags, so it’s not easy to keep track of this stuff.
i’m also happy to make one myself, if anyone’s interested and wants to make some suggestions. if it eventually hits 200, i’d start filtering out the ones that were added earliest.

the issue is that mangago doesn’t reliably mark newly completed works as complete; the filter system is something i use often but is quite lacking.
