I've also read the novel and I must say some events and characterizations are better there, unfortunately the team translating seems to have dropped it at chapter 27. (/TДT)/
This could've been sweet, but I HATE the trope of the old elf in a little girls body. And not only that, but she basically groomed the guy since he was a child.
I read around 230 chapters of the WN and I mean, this is a power fantasy with harem in it, most writers of this genre can't really write women. I must say I've read more agrigeous cases than this one, in this you can almost get through most of the bad characterization and weak story arcs. Though after a while it does get pretty annoying.
I can't read this anymore, especially after the baffling changes in season 2. I have to say, the WN is better, not that it's saying much, since it's already pretty bad to begin with. The best parts of this story is the selection process, so much so that the author goes back to it later on. But everything else it's pretty generic.
The MC is such a train wreck, smh. You have this amazing power and you still end up an idiot and a gambling addict.
Am I the only one that didn't like how the story developed? After Will left his home the story seems to lack focus and everything feels very rushed. Also the new characters pale in comparison to the three undead. It's like someone else wrote those initial chapters.
I was excited to see the anime adaptation for this manga, but unfortunately it was pretty bland. This story really works better in written form with Sei's inner dialogue. The animation didn't even try to elevate the material, all we got was stiff faces and lackluster magic scenes.
Look, I love this series! But are we really doing the same thing again? Even in the same place?? The story has been going around a couple of times by now, they only get away with a weak story because the characters are so charming.
The characters are nice, but the story is too slow. 40 chapters in and it feels like anything barely happened.
Am I the only one that finds the concept of this manhua disturbing? Women are kidnapped from our world, to be sold as practically sex slaves, where little by little they forget who they are and then are under some kind of lust spell, where they must have sex to do things.
They really need to stop drawing the FL with that open mouth head empty kinda of look! It's extremely annoying. Also, the story is way too convoluted at this point.
The story is so interesting and funny, but I wish the art wasn't so fan servicey.
I enjoy the caricature art style much more.
I absolutely love the premise, but the MC is horrible. I know she's supposed to be a normal girl in a different world, but she has no sense of self preservation. She does things you wouldn't even do in our own world! Like believe people you just met, take your money out on the street, eat candy from strangers, etc. I mean, she's supposed to be 25yo! But it's out there acting like 10.
I don't know if it's because this is extremely derivative or because the characters are completely flat, probably both, but I was snoozing through these chapters.
Went in thinking I was getting an isekai with a pig as the main character, but instead I got your usual isekai cliche story, and one of the boring ones.
I don't know, they kinda lost me with the whole song revolution. The story never conveys what the song actually means, besides the superficial. And honestly, the story could use a good trim, it has way too much people being dazzled by Lippe and no actual character development or story progress.
