I feel bad for the father. Yes, of course, he was neglecting her but if you think about it, he still saw her as his daughter in the first life. but when that B*tch came, he got manipulated. I can only imagine how lost he was when he knew the truth and even can't do something about it. He must've got desperate about that time magic 'cause it was the only thing he can do (for all we know in that version of the timeline, we could have seen him probably wallowing his heart out or even resort to sudoku). (⊙…⊙ )
I had my fair share of those situations, I really sympathize with how it makes a person so miserable when they regret something especially when it was (or in this case, should be) treasured.
