the story is amazing i’m gripped to my sheets reading this, it’s probably one of the only stories that’s so well written that i have truly and honestly hated a male lead because of their toxicity- and the mc not being a massive pushover is so refreshing, but acknowledging that the ml is mentally ill and needs to change before allowing him back into his life is genuinely realistic compared to the same overused stockholm syndrome trope. don’t get me wrong there still is a cliche ‘mc runs away and ml realises he’s in the wrong’ narrative, but it’s definitely written a lot better than some that i’ve read. another point is that the author has made the omegaverse genuinely terrifying- like omegas are virtually unable to resist their urges despite what their brain is telling them which leaves them so vulnerable that it’s impossible to run away. that is scary shit. i am rooting for a redemption arc as i’m curious on how much the author is gonna make ml suffer (i’m hoping a lot, i hate the stupid corny gun-wielding goofy ahh) although i still think i’m gonna hate the ml no matter what. but i have actually enjoyed reading this and the side-eyes i was giving my phone when he rocked up to the party with the gun were crazy
