Aside from the sister-in-law stuff that left a bad taste in my mouth, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS PERFECT. It was 101% adorable and the pacing and development was *chef's kiss* (it's kind of unbelievable all that was covered in just 6 chapters hello???) and i also really appreciate the portrayal of ayumu's traumatic experience and ryuu validating his past feelings towards tsubame, telling him that he definitely fell for him and it wasn't just an "it-wasn't-love-it-was-something-else" moment. I love loveee this so much gotta hand it to the author!!
It's a bit sad to me that there are people who are complaining abt their miscommunication trope, SPECIFICALLY those treating their conflicts as if they can been solved overnight. I relate to Dojun A LOT in terms of his way of thinking and attachment style, so I know it is NOT EASY. If they didn't overcome such challenges, then their love for each other wouldn't have been "tested."
They are the way they are in the side stories bc of how much they grew individually and as boyfriends in the main story. We want to see them happy and shit, but ofc they are bound to face problems that they can't control. The author is showing us that. What matters is that they are handling it better than their past selves would've done. Some may be annoyed with the side stories, but all I can see are two people who are still maturing further, learning based on their experiences, and trying their best for each other.
So no, I don't think the side stories are pointless bc Taeseok being tied to America does need to be addressed. I'm glad the author is fleshing it out. I cried tons reading. I LOVE LOVE LOVEE this manhwa and I know the author will give them the happy ending they deserve.
Easy 5-star rating. :3
I'm glad saeki was able to redeem himself properly. He finally rejected the girl upfront and confessed his feelings while acknowledging his shitty actions and apologizing for them. In a way, they both grew up throughout the story. :)
Yes, it has misunderstanding and miscommunication that we're all so tired of, but I wouldn't say they're unnecessary at all. It's given from how the author portrayed their individual disposition and experiences, so it's not surprising that they're awkward and can't express their feelings (at first).
Holy shit it kept getting better and better???!?! The story seemed so simple at first and then turned out to be a whole roller coaster what i also like was that the author wasn't afraid to include "problematic" themes, making them part of the story-telling that keeps u on the edge of the seat!!! Especially at the second half of the story absolutely amazing and a MASTERPIECE WTF

This still gives me the same feels no matter how many times i reread it. The things i would, give to have a love like theirs. I love this type of slow burn so much.
