Getting an education is required to enter certain vocations. Reading yaoi is just something you do for fun. You don't need to jump through bureaucratic hoops to stop reading a yaoi you dislike. You're allowed to complain, but my point is that it's so easy to put the yaoi down and move on. People who read the entire thing after forming a negative opinion on it within the first two chapters and proceed to comment letting everyone know that they "forced themselves" to finish despite hating it come off as performative.
