Munryeong found Paljae and helped him recover from injuries, then the latter cured his extreme sensitivity to the sun. They met not that long ago but I guess what they feel for each other regardless of the circumstances was love all along. You wouldn't put your own body to protect someone from an attack if there wasn't any affection involved and the same could be said for taking a curse into your own body just so that person can be brought back to life.
In the future, they will meet again and save each other again and love each other more than what they were able to do so before. It's honestly so beautiful how everything started, ended and started again with the decision of saving the life of a stranger and later on someone who you thought was one, but who's actually the person who gave their life to save you in turn.
