I kinda like it when the mc outlives their special someone which they were so emotionally attached to and were so deeply fond with. Then after a few years/decades being in isolation and not giving a care to the world the mc finds people who makes them remember how it feels to have emotions again and they eventually grow mentally and emotionally stronger and learns to move forward from the past and learns how to accept how life works. Idk I'd like a story as long as it's well written.
I’m actually thinking of writing a story too!! Except it’ll be a webcomic not a book. Personally, I like stories that have a lot of drama. (Not like a soap opera, drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat. You just HAVE to read the next chapter because the drama is so thrilling.)
I can’t really give you any ideas because I don’t know what you’re into, but I can give ideas based off of what I’m into.
Prompt ideas: - mc loses their memories and is trying to figure out who they are. Maybe before they were a horrible person and now they can rewrite their wrongs? - A story in the villains perspective. Maybe the villain isn’t as bad as they seem. - A story were the “hero” is actually the villain all along. Show how the world reacts and descends into madness. - A story where the mc gets betrayed by those closest. (A revenge story I guess. You can spin it into your own thing though.) - A story where the mc dies. Show how the side characters react to their death. - A story where the mc is manipulating everyone around them.
Then you can also do stories other people have done but put your own spin on things. If you like the reincarnated princess/prince stories you can make your own but with your own spin.
