1. Could the dad have been a plain ‘ol innocent victim?

I really like Tristan, I do. But apparently this is being depicted way different from the novel itself. Which is why a lot of supporters of the novel boycotted the manhwa artist and hated on in her IG, it seems she favors Tristan a LOOOT, and a lot of the FL scenes with him is not even in the novel. A lot of scenes where the duke’s efforts for FL where opted out.
And I haven’t read everything BUT there is a really good backstory for the ML (not a secret anyway with the posters) which is the Duke, he really respects her too. And see how he is the only one who had rejected her advances so far, cause it ain’t purely lust with him. Take note that when FL mother died, they were ALL CHILDREN, so put that in perspective too.
ANYWAY, the backstory of ML is way way wayyyy sad. So don’t be too quick to judge everyone. Still, they all hot tho. And that Pope and missing brother are ALL HELLA SUS!

You’re welcome! I just didn’t like the blind hate, but I do get it as well. Anyone will swoon for the very attentive Tristan. But yeah, he’s a knight so he does stay by her side more often. As compared to the Duke that has a lot of preparation behind the scenes (for ML) that we haven’t seen yet.

Agree! Me too. It was weird because he is working very hard. But it is being cutoff mostly by the manhwa, but it seems it is more detailed in the novel. He REALLY worked hard tho, to the point that in the novel, even towards the end, readers felt the FL was undeserving of ML. I mean currently, she seems undeserving but I was hoping it will totally flip in the end. Welppp

Have to say it was real good at the start, got me thinking that there was too many chapters that focus on the other characters when our main and 2nd couple had way too many issues. But when it was getting stable and fluffy, damn dam of issues came flooding both couples, to the point that I am hella pissed. The 2nd Lead was gaslighted into thinking it was his fault for meddling (in his brother’s romance), that he begged the fucker to let the MC go. No matter what he did, it was ML’s choice to rape the MC (what’s fucked up is we thought he was raped due to some misunderstanding).
