please help a demented mf (me) out, i remember reading this manga ages ago like probably 5 or more years ago. but the plot was smthn like mc has a childhood friend who had a wife and has a young daughter. his wife passes away from a terminal disease and she asks mc to take care of the childhood friend. mc happily agrees because shes been in love with him since forever. this story will always touch my heart. i read this manga when i was 12, and at that time i couldnt understand why nanoka had to apologize or others actions towards, mostly because i saw myself in her. i was excluded in middle school and felt the same way she did.
now that im 21 and majoring in english literature, i understood the many idioms, poems, stories, etc mentioned. i definitely think reading this story at 12 didnt help me understand the meaning behind it, but now after a few years have passed, i can understand it much better.
its been a while since a horror manga scared the daylights out of me, its even more scarier because i live in dorms with a roommate
here are some spoilers!
the mc's late father was a great chef who helped his community and was even acquainted with the former mayor who ends up helping the mc. most of the staff in the school knows what is happening and makes adjustements for mc to have special classes in the infirmary, they all want to condemn kondo but they are currently gathering evidence and plan to involve the police.
there are many characters who support mc, biggest one being fmc who is ai. she walks with him to school everyday, trying to dispel all rumors and defends him in school. mc has a best friend satoshi who is in a different class, so he didnt know at start but after he got wind of the rumors, he supports mc with everything. then, there is the goat endo. he catches trash no.1 (kondo) and trash no.2 (miyuki) going inside a love hotel, then calls the police notifying them about minors in a love hotel. endo also went through a similar situation, he and his childhood friend were dating but in the first year of junior high school, trash no.1 "stole" his gf then isolated endo. endo faced harsh bullying and became a shut in for an year or so. he then gets into the same high school as mc but doesnt befriend anyone losing trust in people. mc treats him nicely which makes him come out of his shell and make more friends. trash no.1 tries to run away from the police when they show up in the love hotel, but endo takes a video of this and sends it to the football club which is filled with fanatics of trash no.1 and tries to cause internal fighting.
