I love how the author plays with the words, they distort them to match the characters emotion.
Some information isn’t told to the audience explicitly. There are slight facial expressions, actions, or words the characters would use to hint at some key detail. Often times, if the mc doesn’t know anything, then the audience won’t either which keeps us on the edge of our seats for fear of the unknown.
I also love how the main couple’s toxic relationship is hardly being romanticized, instead, it’s being horrorized. The main characters are mentally fucked up and the author does a good job portraying that without just spamming the audience with endless sex scenes. A toxic yaoi has never brought out the amount of fear I’ve felt from reading about these characters.
