At this Point I'm pretty sure that Dan will end up destroying himself especially when the granny dies. And finally reality will hit JJ as of now he has no remorse for what he'd done or how he treated Dan. So I hight doubt the redemption arc will come after Dan goes through some fucked up shift.....
