I am not caught up with the novel but I did read it before so I am a number of arcs ahead but my memory is hazy so correct me if I'm wrong.
Lumer is still alive after many many arcs. I also believe Raon helped him fix his core so I think he has plenty of time to live. Elves have extremely long life spans but I guess now he is the same age as the grandpa zieghardt so they kinda will die together eventually.
