I do see the beauty in the story yes, but the thing that doesn't sit right with me is the invasion of privacy from Karen, and his nephew Gene.
Like Karen I understand you understood marrying a man trying to contain his sexuality isn't the right choice but who gave you the right to tell Gene he needs to save him or help him along the path? That's for him to figure out on his own not for you to decide for him because you feel he's unhappy. She could've gave a small insight of why they divorced and that would've been enough. Like dam the invasion of his privacy is insane.
Same with the nephew who tf gave you the right to write gene? What if Gene had a partner and moved on? Or what if that was a closed chapter in his life? That really could've went wrong in so many ways? What made you do that? Like you had the right too? Focus on your own damn life tf?
I just don't like how everyone's making decisions for him based off how they feel is fit for him or see for his future! Like damn mind your business????!!!
