Obsession. He doesn't really love him.
Sometimes you can be obsessed and love someone at the same time. When you're obsessed with something you don't care what happened to the subject of obsession because your own desire and feelings matter. Now when you love someone, you're willing to let go or sacrifice things for the sake of the person you love. Both can happen at the same time. With him, it's always a battle of what's best for Won Dae and what he wants for himself. More and more chapters have shown how he's very much willing and capable to go for Won Dae, but not at the expense of jeopardizing Won Dae except for that one chapter where he just mess up big time. Most of the times his issues is triggered because he has abandonment and betrayal trauma from his mother. It's always how he's trying to find ways to tie Won Dae to him. But everytime he was strucked with this dark thoughts Won Dae just swooped in crushing his chaotic mind. Quite literally Won Dae is saving the day in his life. It's flawed. A bit toxic I must say because how they're both emotionally dependent to each other.
But to say it's purely obsession? Nah.

For me it is. He's trying to do things that are oblivious of Won Dae. Won Dae on the other hand, keeps on assuring him things that will keep him sane and think rationally.
I don't think, this is a healthy relationship. Knowing that both of them has experience trauma in the past.
The both of them should seek a professional for therapy.
